Penedono Castle
Because nothing says Easter like castles, right? I don’t know how we ended up at three in two days, but that’s how it turned out as we toured around the district of Viseu on Friday and Saturday. The third day of the long weekend, today, was spent like locals doing ordinary things: washing the car, staying in to cook, visiting relatives, and attending Easter mass at the home village of Penela da Beira.
I have loads of unedited pics, but in the meantime while I go through them all, here are a couple of video clips from my phone of the two castles new to me. (Penedono Castle is sort of the “home castle” since it’s in the town next to Penela da Beira.)
