Wine is never a drink I tire of.
No matter the colour, whether it’s a rich red or a pale white, I am happy to help myself to a glass (or two).
Luckily for me, Barossa Valley did not disappoint, with an endless supply of delicious drops guaranteed to satisfy even the fussiest wine drinker.
My time spent hopping from the winery to the restaurant, to food store transformed my view on this picturesque valley. Where I once thought the area to be a typical winery region, it soon became my all-time favorite wine valley in all of Australia. These days, Barossa Valley is a tiny blip on the Australia Wine map, but in my wine-loving opinion, it wins in all counts.

For the local Australians, Jacob’s Creek is a staple wine brand. Featured in every bottle shop and restaurant across the country. Visiting the birthplace of this popular brand brings a new life to it, with unique drops only found within the winery and nowhere else.
Wolf Blass Winery
This winery has a long history, being one of the top brands of Barossa Valley for centuries. Sip on your wine of choice and listen to the rich past and evolution of both the wine and the winery.
Seppeltsfield
Seppeltsfield promises a perfect blend of epic countryside views and delicious drops of wine. The 420 acres of the vineyard is open to guests. Letting you wander and explore the lush greenery before heading back inside to warm up with mouth-watering lunch. There is also a gallery on-site with some of the most prized local artwork around.

If you are hanging about for an entire weekend, the Barossa Valley Markets is a must-do attraction. Simply head to the region Friday and rise early for a perfect Saturday morning activity. Joining in on the locals as they food the weekly Barossa Farmers Market. Stroll from stall to stall, tasting the scrumptious samples of fruits, cheeses, and more. Savouring the unique food culture this immersive market is famous for. Make sure to bring bags with you, as my arms were filled to the brim with goodies I couldn’t resist.
Restaurants
There is no better end to a day of sightseeing than a visit to one of the region’s most renowned restaurants. Enjoying the exquisite cuisines that are sourced right from the local produce. Many wineries have their own restaurant attached, so you can kill two birds with one stone as you wine and dine.

If you are planning on inspecting the valley’s wine thoroughly, driving is a big no-no. However, as the wineries are quite spread out within the countryside, walking or taking public transport is nearly impossible.
