A Sweet Sign

By Richardl @richardlittleda

One word to catch the eye

I have spent many hours this weekend in the car, and lots of vehicles have passed me by. Not only that, but many of them have been commercial vehicles with adverts for their respective companies. One of the ubiquitous white vans which passed me by was from a sign-writing company. On the side and rear doors was a word cloud of the services they offer, which looked something like the one below:

Have you spotted the random addition? In case you missed it, there was another small sign just above the number plate with the warning ‘no chocolates are left in this vehicle overnight’!

Of all the hundreds of vehicles I have seen over the past 500 miles, this is the one I shall remember most. That little bit of humor was all it took to make it stand out. Of course, whether or not the humor is a commercial success is another matter. Since I can neither remember the name of the company nor find it online – perhaps it wasn’t.

Maybe clever isn’t  enough when it comes to comms?
