Sandhole Oak Barn is a beautiful oak barn set overlooking a lake in the Cheshire countryside. It was the perfect setting for this laid-back wedding with some incredible hand-made touches.

When I arrived I couldn’t help but have a nosey at the guys setting up the barn with all the lovely paper pom poms and THAT cake table…wow! But my job was to capture the bride getting ready so I headed over to one of the small barns and watched Hannah get transformed in to a stunning bride by make-up artist Sarah Green.
The boys were soon getting in to their wedding attire (and the Groom showed off his amazing gold shoes) and having photos taken outside in the sunshine. The girls made their way to another part of the farm to get Hannah in to her amazing wedding dress (I just loved the detailing in the top, just gorgeous). The bride was greeted by her two page boys before she made the walk down the aisle to her handsome groom and soon they were pronounced husband and wife! Their photographer, Hannah Donrnford-May (HDM), soon got everyone organised for their main group shot before the couple were whisked away to enjoy some couple photos with their dog Dora. We then made our way back to get a few family group shots as well as capturing the Up! style balloon release (where guests wrote a message on a luggage tag, tied it to the balloon and they were all released together which I thought was a lovely idea). Speeches were before the wedding breakfast and the bride and groom did a joint one before speaking individually to thank their families and each other. The best man then did a brilliant speech that involved a bit of singing with a little bit of help from their friends… Guests enjoyed the home-made cake table before heading out on to the terrace to watch a group of air balloons pass over the lake. A caricaturist and balloon modeller kept the children (and some adults) entertained while the quiz sheets were marked by the groom! We were then treated to a romantic first dance before their band, The Warning Tones, really kicked off the evening.I had an amazing day filming Hannah and Trevor’s wedding and I am so pleased they picked me to capture their day. When I sent them their Highlights film they were still enjoying their honeymoon so I thought I’d have to be patient to await a response but I didn’t have to wait long…
