Manchester isn’t known for it’s sunshine, in fact it’s quite the opposite, so I was super excited to see the sun shine brightly in the bright blue sky as I traveled to meet Shelly (the bride) who was getting ready at The MacDonald Manchester Hotel and Spa.
Shelly and Chris said their vows at the stunning Manchester Town Hall. This was my first time inside this historical building right in the heart of Manchester city center and I was blown away. We even had the fabulous company of Evie and Jamie from Chapter Photography on the day (we LOVE working with these guys) so it made the day fly by! The look off Dad was priceless…
The registrar for Shelly and Chris’s civil ceremony was just brilliant. He made a comment about how they’d not let go of each other since Shelly arrived just as they asked ‘Who gives this bride…perfect comedy timing!
The speeches were brilliant and I say that because although personal stories were being shared they were funny to everyone (and I have seen a LOT of speeches…). I loved all the references to ‘fun Bobby’…
The evening was a showcase of some amazing dance moves. Alex Birtwell had been singing most of the day but he really got the party started by not only singing their first dance song for them but also singing some floor fillers straight after which meant the dance floor was never empty…
I literally only finished this the other day and sent it straight to Shelly and Chris as I was so eager to hear what they think. Even though they were still enjoying their honeymoon they got straight back to me having watched it as soon as they saw it…
