Travel Magazine
Each year we visit the Indiana State Fair is a unique experience. This year they're celebrating the Year of the Farmer, and there will be plenty of entertainment, exciting rides, and exhibits to enjoy. Along with all the fun sites to see at the Indiana State Fair, it's a summer of music at the fairgrounds.
So, after twirling and whirling on the rides be sure to check out all the fantastic performers and musicians at the Fair, which included the Music for All Indiana State Fair Band Day presented by Music Travel Consultants.
This is one of our favorite events, and we are always impressed by the state’s top high school marching bands that perform during the preliminaries, and later at the finals.
If you could not make it to Band Day, make your calendar for the Indiana State Fair Cheerleading Competition on Aug. 15th. Cheer on your favorite Varsity and Jr. Varsity squads from around the state as they compete for the top prize and trophy.
The Shane Co. Concert Series takes place at Indiana Farmers Coliseum, which has under gone major renovations and improvements.
Superstar Meghan Trainor kick's off the series on $2 Tuesday, August 11. Look for her to sing some of her hits from her #1 debut album, TITLE, that include “Lips Are Movin” as well as “All About That Bass.”
Garrison Keillor brings his The America the Beautiful Tour to the Coliseum on Wednesday, August 12.
On Thursday, August 13th comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will have you laugh in the aisle.
Friday night August 14th welcomes Jake Owen, who'll share hits from his upcoming fourth album, Days of Gold, and hits from double platinum album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night.
Don't forget to check out the Subaru Main Street Stage across from the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the heart of Main Street to catch musicians like Terry Lee & the Rockaboogie Band, Chris Burch, Cyrus Youngman & The King Fishers, the U.S. Navy Four Star Edition, and others performing throughout the Indiana State Fair.
The Free Stage will be a hot spot to be at the Fair as well when performers like the Frankie Ballard, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, and even the Village People take the state!
