National People’s Power (NPP) National List MP Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said the government is now changing the decisions made six months ago. “There should be a stable government to implement these proposals. But, this is an ad-hoc government.
There was lukewarm responses within the government to this budget speech. Lack of a stable government is the main reason for the economic crisis.
The same proposals put forward by the previous governments have again been included in this budget. Much attention has been given to education through this budget. This has created an opportunity for foreign students to come and study in this country.
We cannot oppose that. Before that, necessary facilities should be provided to the local students as well.
