Dear Luke and Leia,
Today we were under Bocas Del Toro and yes, I said that right: under. We took a snorkeling trip to see the colorful fish and vibrant reef life in the islands off of the north coast of Panama.
We think that snorkeling is almost as much fun as SCUBA diving. Before you guys were born Nana and I had a huge saltwater fish tank. It was cool seeing ones we used to keep in their natural environment. The reef was so colorful and full of life.
Nana was laughing, with the fish darting everywhere and me trying to use an underwater camera for the first time. I did get a few good shots, but I really need more practice. Just thought I would share with you guys what we saw and my efforts.

Can you see the sea urchins? I love the brilliant purple on these sponges, and I guess the brittle starfish does, too.
Feather duster tube worms are fun! If you try to touch them they’ll disappear into their tube.

There are not many images to share this time, but these few are not too bad. I will do some practicing and try for some more another time. We miss you guys. See you soon.
