With stunning vintage and rustic inspired styling and real attention to detail, this really was a Pinterest worthy wedding.
From the moment I arrived at Kim’s cute cottage in Tarbock Green I knew this was going to be a super stylish and fun wedding to film. And, of course, being at home surrounded by her best girls would make the perfect relaxed start to her wedding day!
With a church ceremony in Woolton (Liverpool) and a wedding reception over at Inglewood Manor in Cheshire the couple were really wowing the guests with stunning contrast of city and countryside venues too!
Kim was getting ready at home with her girls. Caitlin Helsby was on hand creating their stunning natural summer make-up looks and Sophie Rochford made their hair look incredible (how gorgeous is Kimberley’s crystal hair vine by the way?).
You may also spot Kim wearing a white face mask at one point, it was the Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask and apparently it works wonders to prime the skin and tighten pores before make-up!
Everyone was soon getting themselves in to the blush pink bridesmaid dresses before helping Kim get in to her Eliza Jane Howell beaded wedding dress with elegant long sleeves and low back.
I loved Grandad’s reaction when he sees her for the first time, one very proud man right there (and swarve looking too don’t you think?).
What had everyone gushing was the oversized hand-tied bouquet that had a real rustic garden flowers vibe and had the WOW factor. Finished off with a locket with a photo of her Nan…
It turns out Kim was quite the rare Bride, turning up early to her wedding ceremony!
Guests hadn’t even taken their seats yet so they enjoyed the sunshine sat on the bench outside before the priest came say they were ready for her.
Sadly someone tried to steal the show…the cutest ever flower girl was so keen to get to the alter she ran ahead and got lots of ‘ahhhhs’ from the crowd. She even tried to upstage them during the vows exploring!
They said their vows and exchanged wedding rings before being pronounced husband and wife in front of all their guests in the stunning setting of St Peter’s Church in Woolton.
After a rather epic confetti aisle through the lychgate guests made their way on to the vintage red double decker London bus (Aintree Coachline).
This is where the day went from glorious sunshine to torrential rain in the space of the 30 minute drive from Woolton to their reception venue, Inglewood Manor in Cheshire!
There was a slight break in the rain so their wedding photographer (the amazingly talented and wonderful to work with Claire at Claire Basiuk Photography) whisked them out to do the formal family portraits as well as some fun ones with the bridal party in the manicured gardens.
Guests were soon ushered in to the main room at Inglewood Manor to cheer the new Mr and Mrs Allen in before enjoying their wedding breakfast.
Speeches followed and the Groom pinched the bands mic to say a few words before his Best Man said a few inappropriate jokes and had his friends howling!
Claire and I then snuck the couple out to get a few romantic couples shots only for the heavens to open once more and we had to leg it to hide under one of the venues eaves!
The helpful co-ordinator Martin even passed his own brolly out the window so we could help them make it back to the front door!
But, before they could be tempted back inside they had to stop by Dusty the photobooth campervan and have some fun with the photobooth props!
Freak Out Disco Band then started the evening off with their first dance to Sister Sledge, Thinking Of You and managed to keep the dance floor full as we snuck off via the outside pizza van (The Welsh Oven) …
