A Revolutionary Museum Opens at the Mansudae Art Studio

A ceremony was held on August 10 (Wednesday) in front of the revolutionary statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il opening the revolutionary museum at the Mansudae Art Studio. In attendance was Kim Ki Nam, Worker’s Party of Korea (WPK) vice chairman and director of the WPK Propaganda and Agitation Department (PAD), PAD and Ministry of Culture officials, along with employees and merited persons of the studio. According to KCNA, Kim said in his remarks, “The newly built revolutionary museum is of great significance in glorifying leadership exploits of the great leaders and Marshal Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n)” He advised the officials, creators and employees of the studio to “have the pride of working at the unit visited by the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and thus fulfill their mission and duty for the party and the revolution, the country and its people.”

After being briefed about the museum, they toured it. In the general review hall and rooms of the museum are “the color statue of leader Kim Jong Il (Kim Cho’ng-il), photos of the peerlessly great men, their propositions and 1,000 odd historical mementos in chronological order and contents.” A basket of flowers was left in front of the statue of Kim Jong Il.
