A Quiet Valentine’s

By Richardl @richardlittleda

Cards that count

As a preacher and occasional broadcaster, I’m not sure I love the sound of my own voice, but I certainly do rely on it. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like as a ‘professional’ speaker to be robbed of the ability to hear. When I was at primary school, we used to collect milk bottle tops for Guide Dogs for the Blind, to which I wrongly referred as “blind dogs”. On that basis, Jax, featured in the video below, is a “deaf dog”! Of course, he is anything but. As highly trained as any guide dog, he acts as the ears for his owner, as demonstrated in the film below. This is probably the most charming Valentine’s film you will see today, and if you click this link, you can buy a card and help to fund more “deaf dogs” like Jax.
