A random thought…
People are so gung-ho about administering drug tests to potential welfare recipients because, you know, if you’re poor, you must be on drugs.
But so many of our politicians say and do so many stupid things that everyone wishescould be explained away by blaming drugs (but can’t).
Maybe in addition to (or instead of) pushing for drug tests on welfare applicants, we should be making our politicians take IQ tests before they take office.
If we’re gonna drug-test people down on their luck to weed out (no pun intended) the few druggies, we should have no qualms about making sure the people writing and passing our laws actually have functioning brains.
Just sayin’.
