A Plurality Of Americans Say Valentine's Day Is Overrated
Posted on the 14 February 2017 by JobsangerMy celebration of this mini-holiday (Valentine's Day) is to bring you the results of this recent YouGov Poll -- done between January 27th and 30th of a random national sample of 1,132 adults.
It shows that 48% of Americans think Valentine's Day is overrated, while 43% think it is romantic -- a difference of 5 points. Only one group, those in a relationship, have a majority saying it is romantic. In addition to the general public, married people and single people have more thinking it is overrated.
All three groups, and the general public, have significant majorities saying they will not be going on a date on Valentine's Day.
