Back in August, we took a trip to the Douro Valley and had lunch in the town of Resende, a town along the N222 on the south side of the Douro River. Below our parking space was this incredible view and — lo and behold — a large playground with the perfect viewing spot. If a playground rating system exists, Parque Infantil O Cerejal would win for location, hands down.
When we were there, I posted a picture of the playground from my phone to the Facebook page and revealed Resende’s hidden treasure. I know at least one family who went searching for it (and found it) not long after.
The planners added picnic tables as well, which will be ideal once the trees grow larger and add shade. The Douro Valley gets blazing hot in the summer. Take lots of sunscreen!
