One of the most pernicious and mis-named policies pursued by the Republicans is the establishment of "right to work" laws throughout the country. The truth is that this policy has nothing to do with a right to work. It is now, and always has been, only about the right of employers to crush and destroy unions -- so they can force workers to work for poverty wages in unsafe working conditions (while they continue to hog for themselves all increases in productivity).
