A PERK!ER Breakfast Review

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day or so we've always been told.  Now I used to hate having breakfast and I often would skip it as cereals just didn't sit well with me, but I was asked to test PERK!ER breakfast products which are gluten free, so I decided to give it a go because to be honest I've got royally stuck in a breakfast rut! A PERK!ER Breakfast ReviewAccording to PERK!ER there are an estimated 630,000 living with celiac diseaseso switching to a gluten free breakfast would be the ideal option.
My huge box of goodies arrived causing major intrigue, so as I was in a dash for train and then staying away I scooped up the two porridge on the go pots.

Apple, Cinnamon & Raisin
has delicious juicy raisins, and a little cinnamon which makes it taste absolutely yum!

Fruity Berry
The fruitest one with berries and raisins giving it lots of taste.

Porridge The apple, cinnamon and raisin porridge was my favorite out of the travel pots, although both are very tasty and made a difference than my standard cereal bar whilst on the go.   All Perkier porridges are high in fibre, keep you fuller for longer, low in fat, & made from all natural ingredients.
Flakes I love the fact you can get gluten free flakes that actually taste good!  I thought before munching on a bowl they were going to be really bland but they truly weren't. I've tried both the red berry flakes and the fruity flakes and they're both very morish, plus these flakes are a good source of fiber & less than 3% fat... and they have lots of fruity bits thrown in too! PackagingOn first visual impressions it comes across as being vibrant and zesty.  The colours are hot pink and lime green tones but unlike 'child' cereals theses ones make it come across somewhat cool.TasteI can't really summarise the taste specifically because there are numerous flavours and textures, however all I do want to point out is that if you're worried that it will lack flavor as it's a free-from brand of cereal... don't fear as if anything it actually has more flavor than most. I'd like to point out (in case there are any calorie counters reading this) the calories for these cereals are nice and low so you don't have to panic!

OverallReally surprised at how tasty these cereals are and love the fact they are all gluten free.  I will switching my standard porridge for the cinnamon one that's for sure, it won me over with the first mouthful!  The porridge & flake boxes are £3.50 with the little porridge pots at £1.79.
