Christmas time at Caffè Nero
Being early for my train, I decided a sit down and a bit of warmth in Caffè Nero was in order. Also, it would have been rude not to check out their Christmas flavours. 🎅
Mince pies, chocolate and hazelnut slices and more on offer. I was semi-good and bought a gingerbread man for Mr Foodie to try (not a guilt present honest!).
Drinks-wise, the festive menu includes Clementine Latte and hot chocolate, both available with semi-skimmed and soya milk, Clementine Milano, Gingerbread Latte and Gingerbread Hot chocolate (again soya or semi-skimmed milk), Roasted Hazlenut Hot Chocolate and Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate as well as a Hazlenut Milano.
This is sugary, I wonder how many spoons? It's not as chocolate orange tasting as the Marks and Spencer hot chocolate, but there is a pleasant orange taste. However, post-drink sugar crash made me wary of ordering it again. Tasty, but lethal!Sandwiches on offer include Falafel and Chestnut Wrap, Quattro Fromaggi, Ham Hock and Spiced Plum Chutney Gluten-Free, Turkey Ciabatta, Ham Hock and Cheese Toastie and a Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Panini. I had decided the hot chocolate was enough calories for the one day, so passed on the sandwiches.
Have you tried any good festive sandwiches, cakes or drinks recently? Let us know 🙂
