A Patterned Spring

We are only a few days into spring, but the idea of warm weather and promise of spring fashion has been on my mind for months. This season is the perfect time to incorporate fun prints into your wardrobe. While the weather is still cool, I’m mixing chunky knits with fun graphic prints. In case you didn’t get the memo, the modern globetrotter trend is in. For maximum print inspiration, check the spring runways of Peter Som, Tory Burch, and budget friendly J.Crew.

Dressing a print is easier than you think. An easy printed piece to add to fashion repertoire is a printed pant or dress. These pieces can easily be dressed up or down and can take you from the office to cocktail hour with the addition of heels or a blazer.

This tiger print sweatshirt is great look for less for a Kenzo inspired look. The Kenzo version retails for over $400 and the Bar III version (available at Macy’s) retails for about $50.

A printed shift dress makes a classic look trendy. This is a fun piece that can be worn with heels or flats to any occasion.

Editor’s Note: A beautiful shoutout goes to Akia, the hair stylist, for sponsoring this particular shoot. She not only did JT’s hair but opened up her quaint, modern salon (located in Druid Hills on LaVista) for us to shoot in as well. More collaborations are soon to come! And hey, if you’re in the Greater Atlanta area, we’d love to collaborate with you as well. Send any inquiries to modernartandstyle@gmail(dot)com
