Even without the winter, NYC can be quite cold - not literally but figuratively since New Yorkers are always rushing by (hence the phrase, a New York minute) and not minding anybody else. So our couple today warmed this city by their beautiful elopement ceremony in the Grand Central Station. Their first kiss as husband and wife caught the daily commuters' attention and they stopped their tracks to cheer them on. What a lovely sight that would've been right? Aside from that scene, they also braved the city's chilly Christmas weather for some awesome shots ranging from the central park, to the subway, and even, spots that were filled with tourists. I mean, I already love this awesome city and I thought I couldn't love it any further, but add in a romantic wedding, and it just kicked it up a notch! Congratulations Angie & Josh!

What is the overall story for this album?
I think the story for the wedding photos was simply capturing every moment of the day. We wanted to spend the day running around the city with our friends sightseeing and enjoying the hustle and bustle of NYC at Christmas time.
What inspired the wedding day outfits?
The wedding day outfits were total GQ inspired. We wanted to look and feel tailored and fabulous. Famous! I was wearing an ivory Jenny Lee gown I purchased at Big Rock Little Rooster in Columbus, Ohio and Josh is outfitted in The Ludlow suit from JCrew. The Italian wool suit Josh wore was perfect for the winter weather in NYC and made his baby blues pop! I love textures so I picked the white fur coat, red lipstick and the black velvet bow tie for Josh to complete style.
What was your favorite part of the day?
My favorite part of the day was the morning, getting ready with the ladies in our suite was perfect. We drank mimosas and got puckered up by makeup artist Julio Sandino all while the butterflies in my stomach were fluttering and getting bigger and bigger. The moment we went on the roof for Josh and I to see each other for the first time was fun and special. I was so nervous what he would think.
Was there any Do it Yourself (DIY) projects? If so, can you describe them in detail?
We handmade paper mâché ornaments out of the New York Times newspaper to put into a gift box we sent ahead to each of the rooms before we arrived. Each gift was filled with tons of candies, chocolates, whiskey and champagne, a map of the city with subway stops and our homemade ornament to remember the weekend by. They were wrapped in lush silver and black velvet paper and ribbons.
What were the highlights from the ceremony & reception?
The ceremony in Grand Central Terminal was exactly what I wanted it to be. Spontaneous, fun and a surprise! As we walked in and met our officiant my heart started racing. We walked over to one end of the building dead smack amongst the hundreds of people and just like that..our wedding began. Our officiant did a wonderful job capturing the story of us and delivering it perfectly. My favorite moment of the ceremony had to be of course the kiss. When we said I do and kissed, the entire Grand Central Terminal had a roar and cheer of excitement for us! It was unreal. Felt like 1000 eyes had been watching yet we blurred it all out to just us. It was so magical!
Was there a theme for the ceremony and reception?
If I had to pick a theme I would say Grand Boutique Style Elopement. We love to stay at, eat and drink, and shop at really cool boutique places when we travel so naturally booking this wedding weekend we wanted to share of our favorites to stay, eat and wander the boutique places in NYC with our best friends. We picked Grand Central station for its beautiful architecture and Grand Scale. It's one of a kind. We found the building to be absolutely outstanding. The central terminal for so many just passing through, coming together and those stopping by to just admire its grace, seemed like the right fit for us... it truly is Grand. Not to mention, it was nice to be cold weather friendly being indoors.
What part of the ceremonies do you think was the most memorable for the bride and groom?
The roar of the people screaming with excitement when we kissed was the most memorable part of the ceremony for us for sure!
