My Heart His Wings

“Seia and Joe have been dating for about 5 years and got engaged on 11/11/11.  Now if that date doesn’t tell you that their fate was written in the stars then you have got to see their cutesy vintage themed engagement session.  I sat with Seia for a good few hours talking through all the details of their wedding day.  As soon as she said their colours were Mint + Gold, I knew I had to be the one to capture their day.  Everything about their day is about style and finesse.  They are heading to Seia’s family village Asau in Savai’i, Samoa to exchange their vows.  Despite the tropical backdrop this wedding will be all about lace and vintage among the mangoes.”

If you ask me how do I feel about this journey of becoming a photographer, I would simply say that I feel blessed. I have never studied photography nor had I intended on taking it on as a hobby before 2011. So to now be an owner of a wedding photography business, my heart is completely grateful for the opportunities that have presented itself in these past few years.

As this journey began to unravel I found myself really believing that my passion for creativity and meeting people is what will make me truly happy. Supported by Mr. Love, my two beautiful girls, and my circle of family and friends I finally took the plunge in leaving my job in the Human Resources industry. Having achieved my academic goals I feel equipped and ready to follow my heart’s desire wherever it may lead me.

I love spontaneity. I love surprises. I love to laugh. I love my husband who is my best friend. I love my two girls and their huge personalities. I love watching movies. I love a good book even though I’m in the middle of about five books right now. I love freshly brewed tea with a lot of milk. I love sitting by the window enjoying the warmth of the sun on my face. I love serving my community. I love bucket lists. I love life. I love God. I love hammocks. I love DIY projects. I love blogging. I love individuality and style. I love Spring, but I hate hayfever.
