Sarah and Stuart found me thanks to their talented wedding photographer, Lottie Designs, recommending me. They planned to get married at Eaves Hall in the Ribble Valley and as soon as I got the enquiry I had everything crossed they’d book me as they sounded so lovely and I knew it would be fun working with Lottie!
I arrived to a flurry of activity at the bride’s house as the hair and make-up A-team that is Flossy and Leigh were there working their magic. I always love this part, it brings out the really girly side in me and Phoebe from Flossy and Leigh even treated me to a dab of sparkle on my eye lids too! The girls were soon looking even more gorgeous and getting themselves in to their wedding outfits. Sarah looked absolutely stunning and soon had Mum and Dad in tears once she revealed her final bridal look.
Over and the Grooms it was the usual with laid back guys trying to get organised. I love seeing this part after the wedding and my couples say the same, it’s great being able to see what each other were up to on the morning as it goes by in such a blur! They were soon packed up and on their way to Eaves Hall where eager guests were there to greet them. A few drinks were had to calm the nerves while they waited for the bridal party.
The ceremony was perfect. The officiant was actually the same gentleman who did my sister in laws wedding and he puts lots of effort in to making the ceremony really personal. Poor Stuart did stumble over one of his lines and had everyone laughing that it was the one about being loyal! They were soon pronounced as husband and wife and made their way back down the aisle to the two glasses of champers waiting for them. Lottie soon rounded everyone up for some fun group photos before we disappeared in to the gardens to get some gorgeous couple portraits.
Stuart was super nervous about his speech so they decided to let him do his before the meal and then Dad and the Best Man had the pleasure of doing theirs after. I loved hearing all the stories of how they met when they were younger and the Best Man did a great job of poking fun at the Groom but also saying some really sweet things about their strong friendship.
The evening was soon in full swing and the closet Taylor Swift fan that is Stuart was caught singing away to one of his favorite tracks. The dancefloor was full as soon as they were asked to join the bride and groom on the dance floor and we were sad to leave as it seemed the party was only really getting started…
