I actually know this Bride and Groom through a mutual friend and a past love of Insanity workouts in Burscough. I fell pregnant half way through and it was only when I heard from Angharad enquiring about filming her amazing wedding at The Venue at The Royal Liver Building in Liverpool did we get to catch up again. Fast forward a good while later (I do love an organised Bride) the big day was finally upon us and everyone was getting ready to celebrate the wedding of the year in the amazing city of Liverpool.
The weather wasn’t looking to bright but the girls certainly brightened that dreary day when I arrived to film them getting ready at The Shankley Hotel in the city center. The room was filled with great tunes, huge balloons and lots of excited laughter. Time was soon racing away so their photographer, Wes Simpson, had them do a few crazy poses while jumping on the bed before it was time to get Angharad in to her stunning wedding dress. The boys had gotten ready super early and keen to get to the venue so filming started with them doing final checks on the rooms and waiting for their guests to arrive. Before too long the bridal party were arriving ready to welcome the bride…
The ceremony room looked incredible with the giant balloons and bright white walls, those vibrant flower arrangements by Celebration Florists of bright purples and big yellow sunflowers, the perfect blank canvas for the Bride to make her entrance. In all the excitement the veil got caught on the way in and flew out of her hair but it didn’t stop her arriving at her Groom’s side with a smile on her face. Personal vows, a gorgeous reading and the rings being delivered by a stunning barn owl from The Owl Ring Bearer, all helped make this ceremony extra special and they were soon walking back down the aisle as Mr and Mrs Walsh.
Guests made their way out in to the windy Liverpool waterfront to be surprised by a dove release (would you look at those faces when they fly out!!) and had the opportunity to meet the gorgeous ring bearer. It was then time for confetti and those all important family and friend group photographs before being escorted back up to the reception room for the wedding breakfast.
The new Mr & Mrs Walsh were announced in to the room before taking their seats to enjoy their first meal as husband and wife. Speeches were next and not only did they get a few tears but the Best Man even had some help from Tim’s son entertaining the crowd with his dance moves!
After that very special dance lesson ‘refresher’ the Groom took to the floor with his new Wife and they had their first dance together. Before we left we couldn’t resist watching a few guests posing like pro’s on the vintage style Moon Booth and treating themselves to a dip in the chocolate fountain before dancing the night away…
