If you read any “how to be a good blogger” guide, the first rule is “update regularly” – This is where I fail. But when I post, I try to do it only if I have something I feel like sharing… This blog has changed my life in many good ways but never turned into a job, and I don’t think I want it to, so when I can’t fake it, I honestly feel better about silence than forced posts. What do you think?
Anyway, I am really sorry about this long delay. 3 months, I can’t believe it! So many things happened in the meantime, so many happened before and I have some really cool plans for the future that I am going to share with you, my dear few remaining readers, I should say? :)
I’ve been stargazing a lot in the past months
Where should I start from? Obviously I have to justify my silence, fine. I went through a really bad period of depression, I tried everything, meditation, music, dance, yoga, you name it, but in the end I had to surrender and accept to get professional help and surprise surprise, the magic drops worked and here I am, back to life! I love science more than ever right now.
That said, in the meantime I became a yoga buff and I practice Ashtanga Yoga and feel great about it. What does this have to do with travel? Well I started yoga when I was in Honduras, I continued here in Italy, and very shortly I will be doing the same in …Canada!
Canada!
Yes I said Canada. Here’s my new travel destination – biggest decision of the year.
Canada travel guide, a birthday present I gave to myself
For me, Canada has always been one of those countries you don’t even think about when you look at a map. But then it all changed when I went to Honduras and worked with Canadians, and also hung out with them a lot. I totally fell in love with their spirit and kindness. I made friends and they all invited me to visit, so why not going eh? These days I am purchasing my ticket(s) and in September I will fly to Vancouver first, then travel east all the way to Montreal, and then back to Italy. Excited!
I can’t even imagine how many “Canada flag themed” gadgets I will buy! Ohhh my.
So here’s where you can help me. Any suggestion – weather permitting, remember it will be late September/early October – is more than welcome. I am thinking of riding the beautiful train from Vancouver to Jasper, Edmonton and then reach Calgary for my yoga. So this is the plan!
Other than that, I now have a “normal” life with a “normal” office job for a really great travel related company, and I am loving it so far. Paycheck at the end of the month doesn’t suck, I tell you! So I will keep doing this and traveling whenever I can – also for work!
I do all the things I didn’t do in years – get my hair done, grow my nails, spend some money on handbags and such, and you know what? I feel good about it. The “me” of a year ago would look at today’s “me” and raise an eyebrow, but here’s my eyebrow raising back at her! :)
I forgot to mention I also started taking selfies in the bathroom #Imsocool
Now that I look presentable again, why not meeting at the #TBDI in October? Who’s going? Can’t wait to meet you all. And I am happy to be back to the blogging world.
