Ali Zandi formerly of Flippa and currently with his own shop at Perception.com, wrote a blog post on Namepros that listed 370 available 6n.com domain names. Ali has been publishing a series he calls the “Daily Dose” which lists names available for registration.
A couple members regged one or two names before someone came in and took the lot, registered them and put them under privacy. This started a discussion on whether or not people buying and selling 6n.com are perpetuating hype around a flawed naming convention and looking for noobs to be their sucker ?
I can say I remember back when 4N.com was really starting to move and there were a few people talking about 5N.com, they were called suckers, that 4n.com was the max length for resale value.
But as early as 2005, Theo from Domain Gang was doing lists and actually selling them on Namepros.
There are NO Four-Number .com domains available in the wild for you to register. So the next best thing is domains with five numbers, e.g. 12345.com
But already 53%+ of that namespace – or is it, “numberspace” – has been taken!

So far when it comes to 6n.com patterns matter, on June 1, 551188.com closed at $4,800 on NameJet, on May 24, NameJet saw a couple four figure closes on 6N.com, 675999.com and 852999.com closed at $1,100. A lot of 6,8 or 9 are going to bring home the best rewards for a 6n.com. A random 290456.com is not worth speculating on at this point imo. You are not going to hand reg a domain with triple 9,8, or 6. The more combinations the trickier it gets, especially if you don’t know Chinese numerology.

Back in 2008 The Wall Street Journal covered Numeric domain names, Marchex was mentioned in the 5N.com realm, the article also looked at the highest reported numeric sales and the purchase of 20.com.

Jason Calacanis, the Internet entrepreneur who created Weblogs Inc. and sold it for a reported $30 million to AOL, paid $70,000 for 20.com and intended to build a new business around it. “Having only two characters to type is just a huge advantage for a service,” Mr. Calacanis says.
But when he eventually launched a search engine, he eschewed the numeric domain and went with Mahalo.com, he says, “after some research and soul-searching, mostly my gut.” He says he gets offers as high as $400,000 for 20.com but isn’t selling — though he’d give it to LeBron James if the Cleveland Cavaliers star signs with the New York Knicks in 2010.
