Hello Mary and David,
You do not have much in the way of testimonials on your website but I would like to offer one.
My first London Walk was in October 1974 and I have been on every one at least twice and some many, many times. That is saying something for someone who doesn't drink to have been on all those pub walks.
I have introduced family members, clients and friends to the pleasures of being entertained and of learning so very much from each and every one of your guides. I really do not think London Walks is the gold standard I think it is in a league of its own. There is really no comparison.
I can remember taking tours with Shakespearean actors as guides; or with a gentlemen who dressed, walked, and talked like Oscar Wilde right down to the green carnation. London Walks guides have never put a foot wrong or uttered an untrue word.
I remember a time when a close friend was near the end of her life. I asked her what she might want to do and she said go to England. By the time we arrived the cancer had taken her sight but every single London Walk we took the guide brought her up to front and carefully and with wonderful alliteration described each and every moment of every walk.
I have traveled to 67 countries and nowhere is there a firm anything like London Walks.
When I die and go to heaven I don't want to be greeted by St Peter I want to be greeted by a London Walks guide, that way I am sure to get in with no trouble.
Next week I am in London for a series of meetings and yes I will take several walks. As I always do...
Thank you for offering something so unique.
Regards
Tim
