A journey that I cannot forget, and cannot forget even if I want to. It was so special. As special as my newly wedded wife. And this is about my honeymoon trip. We had decided to go to Manali even before the wedding. From Delhi to Kullu by air travel and from there we had to take a taxi. I had already booked the hotel and departure air travel for our stay in Manali. By the way, I wanted to go to Kashmir, but the situation there was not good in those days. So the next option for us was to go to Manali. Whatever little information was available about the weather in those days, everything was fine according to that. We had decided that we would book the arrival from Manali itself, whatever the program would be like.

But maybe this was not to happen. It was announced in the flight that the aircraft would land in chandigarh as the weather was not good on the way ahead. We had two options to reach Manali. Either we go to Kullu by the available taxi of the airline company and from there take our taxi to Manali. Otherwise, we should go to Manali in the same taxi and give the extra cost to the taxi driver. We liked the second option better. We reached Manali very late in the night. This delay was due to bad weather. The few hours that we had in buffer for sightseeing after reaching Manali that day were spent in the journey to reach Manali.
I think it was good in a sense that day. The scenic views that we saw while traveling by taxi were unmatched.
