Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy A55 in March this year. However, the company is already reportedly working on its successor, the Samsung Galaxy A56. And now the phone has been spotted in the IMEI database with the 'Galaxy A56 5G' model name and SM-A566B/DS model number, indicating that the phone is in the works. Apart from this, it is known about the chipset in the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 phone is expected to have the new Exynos 1580 chipset. According to Samsung Community, this chipset has a powerful architecture with Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores. For graphics, it is paired with the advanced Xclipse 540 GPU. Also, the Exynos 1580 includes an upgraded NPU, capable of handling Galaxy AI and rivaling the flagship Exynos 2100 in this regard. However, one has to see how the chipset actually performs before coming to any conclusions about its overall capabilities.

The chipset was previously spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking database, scoring 1,046 and 3,578 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The device it was running on runs Android 15 operating system. The benchmark platform also revealed that the processor will have a 1+3+4 architecture, which is expected to get a performance upgrade over the 4+4 architecture-based predecessor Exynos 1480 chipset.

No information has yet surfaced about the other aspects of the Samsung Galaxy A56 phone as such, but the specifications of its predecessor can be seen to get an idea of ​​what to expect from it.

The current generation Samsung Galaxy A55 phone has a 6.6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display, which supports 1,000 nits of brightness (HBM). The company promises that it will get four major Android updates every year.

In terms of cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A55 has a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back along with a 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel camera. And a 32-megapixel selfie camera is present on the front of the phone and it offers decent photo and video quality. For power backup, the Samsung Galaxy A55 handset has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 25W wired charging.
