A Homeware Wishlist

Starting afresh in a brand new bedroom.
Now that I’m somewhat settled back in England and my walls are no longer a captivating shade of blue, it’s about time I shimmied in some homeware content on here, eh? I’m currently in the process of redecorating another room - my new bedroom in my parents’ house - after moving back from my teeny tiny dot of a flat in Hong Kong. It feels odd to look back at old photos of my last bedroom, blushingly girlish decor encased in a little 2014 capsule.
For this room, I’ve painstakingly painted my nook in a French gray hue. I actually had to paint the entire thing in an undercoat to get rid of the bright blue - with one paintbrush. Guns of steel. We opted for Dulux’s Polished Pebble which is a pale, cool-toned grey, a little different from plain white without being too in your face. For the accents colours, I’m looking towards rose pink, white and medium-dark taupe wood with either brassy gold or rose gold as my metal.

A grown-up oasis of calm with ethereal whimsy.

Firstly, let’s talk Etsy. Bloomin’ heck, Etsy has won me over as of late.
I’m planning on picking up these beyond awesome hexagon floating shelves to provide a more tactile visual focal point on my walls. My room has this pretty cool inverted ceiling so I wanted to play on geometric shapes a little bit. Inside, I’ll pop cacti, some of my fandom figurines and other little trinkets!
H&M Home has truly come up trumps after weeks upon weeks of me not really liking their new collections. From their throw cushions to bedding, plant pots to decor, almost everything has me excited to hop into a store at the weekend for a good old rummage. In fact, the arrow hook and the leaf platter have me thoroughly convinced of the brass gold accents! And how awesome is this pot?! So sassy. I also spotted this Hong Kong luggage tag wall art by Nick Cranston on Oliver Bonas and instantly knew it had to be in my stash. Let's keep dreaming...

I’m hoping to create a mini gallery wall above my old Ikea Expedit shelves and this Lily Rose Co print has truly taken my fancy as a bit of a feature piece! I just adore the pink peony background and the fact you can customise the foil style. I'm also OBSESSED with this dinky elephant lamp from Urban Outfitters. How. Cute. I've been searching for a lamp to bring light to a particularly dark spot in my room and, while those gorgeous industrial desk lamps could work, this elephant one just won't leave my brain.
To refresh the wardrobe and open up some light to the room (the old lampshade is seriously wornout), I'm obsessed with this glass pendant from Made.com and these painted knobs from Anthropologie. It's a little bit out of my budget but, a girl can dream. Trying to hunt down something similar at Dunelm Mill or the like!
