Now this is how you do a fun Yorkshire wedding properly!
Jaye and I (Matt) totally wish we could clone ourselves and photograph ALL the weddings. ALL OF THEM. We are greedy like that. However, after several failed experiements in human cloning and bending the space-time continuum, we have had to accept that we just aren’t able to be in two places at once (yet). But lucky for us, we have Bee – our amazing and super talented associate who can be there in our place. When Bee delivers the images to Jaye for post processing, it is like getting a little surprise present and it is so much fun to go through each of the photographs and select the very best ones. I am not going to like – we are absolutely spoilt for choice. Bee is just about the firendliest person we know and I personally believe that it make a huge difference to the photographs – when you are fun and happy – so is everyone around you.
I have to confess that when we got to take a look at Bee’s photos of John Paul & Christophe’s epic celebrations at Victoria Hall in Shaltaire, we were more than a little jealous at what a fun, emotional and gorgeous wedding she (and her assistant Ian!) cpatured. Emotions were high and the happy tears flowed freely as Christophe & John Paul made their vows to each other and I must admit that I may have been visited the the onion chopping ninja when I reviewed them. It’s amazing to see two people so much in love – and judging by the photos, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Another favorite moment was during the speeches when JP serenaded his new husband – now that is some serious talent. And bravery. Some grooms get weak knees just giving a speech – can you imagine giving a performance? Our couples are hard-core like that. I just love the photographs of the guests watching the speeches. Everyone looks so loved up and happy – the atmosphere must have been amazing.
Oh, and did I mention the party? This wedding is everything a fun Yorkshire wedding should be and of course that comes with a packed dance floor. As well as being a downright gorgeous building, Victoria Hall in Shipley has an amazing and gigantic dance floor. It’s great to see that incredible space being put to such good use with partying for HOURS! At some weddings the guests can be a bit slow to get on the dance floor at the beginning of the party – but not this wedding. You can’t teach these guys a thing about partying.
What an awesome end to a supremely happy day!
