A Festival of Light #LumiereLondon #LumiereLDN

Adam writes… Back in 2013, as part of the regular Monday photoblog slot In & Around London, I posted five pics under the headline There's Always Something Odd Going On. A stunt, a photoshoot, a film set, London seems to be an endless parade of weird and wonderful happenings… with an endless parade of Londoners streaming by and taking it all in their stride.
Wandering through Trafalgar Square yesterday, for example, I saw a woman filling the fountains with plastic bottles… 


…and the Centre Point lights leaning up against the National Gallery.
(Here's a reminder of where the Centre Point lights should be, half a mile up the road and some 380 feet up in the air…)
The famous square is getting ready t take part in Lumiere London, a mini festival of light installations taking place across the capital at locations such as Trafalgar Square, Regent Street and King's Cross – full programme here: www.visitlondon.com/lumiere/programme
The festival starts tonight and runs until the 17th January.

Get ready for Lumiere London: the biggest-ever light festival to hit the capital.  Produced by Artichoke and supported by the Mayor of London, for four evenings in January a host of international artists will illuminate the city from 6:30pm to 10:30pm each night.
