Peckforton Castle really is the perfect setting for a fairytale wedding in the North West.
THE most elegant and grand setting in the Cheshire countryside, it's a dream to be a wedding videographer there!
Lisa and Ste hadn't planned for a wedding video at all.
That was until their photographer Dan Lloyd may've gently persuaded them to consider taking a look at my work (we had the pleasure of working together on Katy and Dean's wedding less than a year before, you can see their Cheshire wedding here)
As their whole wedding day, including them getting ready, was going to be inside Peckforton Castle AND I'd be working alongside Dan Lloyd we made the call for me to attempt this wedding solo!
If you've followed me for a while you'll know how much I rave about their being two wedding videographers at every wedding and I do still truly believe you'll capture much more of your day that way.
However, I do like a challenge and wanted to ensure Lisa and Ste could have their wedding filmed and not go on to regret it like so many other couples do after their wedding. So, solo wedding videographer it was!

Wedding Nerves at Peckforton Castle
The morning started darting between both the bride and groom who were only getting married down the corridor from each other (could that BE any more perfect for us??).
Dan had met the family before after shooting Lisa's sister's wedding so I had some extra effort to put in to win the family over!
I know it can be quite daunting having essentially a stranger turn up with a video camera on your wedding day but these guys put their trust in me and I'd like to think they relaxed pretty quickly around me so I could capture some really beautiful, natural moments for them (including Lisa being 'encouraged' to down a bottle of prosecco...that's pretty relaxed isn't it?)
A Fairytale Wedding Ceremony Captured On Video
Ste was soon waiting nervously in the Great Hall inside Peckforton Castle. The ceremony room looked incredibly romantic and fairytale like with it's aisle of cream blossom trees and blush pink chair bows. All thanks to the hard work of the girls at Inspired Events Manchester!
It was soon time for Lisa (who hadn't stopped grinning) to make her entrance. When Ste glanced around to see his Bride for the first time the look on his face said it all. Definitely the happiest guy in the room!
They had taken the time to read their own personal vows and it was such a lovely insight in to how much this moment of getting married meant to them.
"The first person I want to see in the morning and the last one to see at night...and, I love you more than beans."
After dodging the beautiful blossom trees on the way out guests made their way out to the drinks reception for prosecco and beer whilst Dan helped round up the guests needed for their family group photos.
Once they were all ticked off the list Dan and I took a stroll around the grounds of Peckforton (well, they strolled and we ran in a weird tag team effort between bushes getting our video footage and photos!).
This is the perfect moment for us to get those beautiful, romantic couple shots but it's also the perfect time for you to have some time alone and enjoy chatting about the day so far (one of the BEST ways to help you remember as much of the day as possible!).
Blush Pink and Blossom Trees - The Perfect Wedding Reception at Peckforton
Guests were soon ushered back in to the Great Hall for the wedding breakfast. The table set ups looked incredible with the blossom trees and clusters of tealights and blush flowers.
Once the meal was finished it was time for the wedding speeches! They didn't disappoint and managed to have everyone either laughing out loud or crying, or even both at times! The Best Man even bought a wig...
After a quick turnaround it was soon back in to the hall to film the 'cake' cutting and first dance.
This wasn't just any cake. This was 3 tiers of epic pork pies! And not just cutting it normally. No. With a sword. Wouldn't be a castle wedding without a sword would it?
As Lisa and Ste swayed to 'From Now On' and wiped tears from their eyes I will admit I found myself singing along (how can you not? It's The Greatest Showman soundtrack after all). It was hard not to. Then guests joined them on the dance floor to celebrate in style and show off their best moves!
