It's hard to believe this bright and impeccable dweelling was once an old factory building in Berlin's city center. After relocating from London, Eve and Gerard Ruecker were in the hunt for a quiet, light-filled oasis in the middle of the German capital —a not-so-easy find in such a urban city. But when they found this crumbling factory, they instantly fell head-over-hills in love with its charm and saw plenty of potential in it. They hired the German architectural firm Miethe+Quehl to help them transform the industrial structure into a home with the Scandinavian flair they were going for: an ultra comfortable environment with a clean and minimalist approach. After completeing the long renovation, the Rueckers got the stunning oasis the had hoped for.
