Wynyard Hall have launched a new beauty salon offering a range of treatments and I headed along to find out more.Driving through the expansive green surroundings and pulling up outside the lavish hall, I was excited to see if the interiors would be quite as stunning. Spoiler alert; they absolutely were! Because I was visiting to experience the Natura Bissé oxygen bubble, I was directed through to the mirror room. With intricate detailing to the ceiling and big bright mirrors on the walls, it was the perfect location for a pamper morning.
Wynyard Hall are the only salon in the North East offering treatments using Natura Bissé products, a skincare brand from Barcelona, Spain. Situated outside Durham within the Tees Valley, I found Wynyard Hall really easy to get to (just down the A1/A19 depending on which you choose if you're around the Durham area like me) and there's certainly plenty to explore. There's the 4 star hotel if you're looking for an overnight stay, the spa, restaurant and the gardens which I certainly want to visit on a sunny day.
Anyway, back to spa talk and treatments... I visited for one of the Natura Bissé facials and after filling in my appointment card, I was led towards an Oxygen bubble, which was somewhat surreal. Inside was a bed and a robe so I got comfy and looked around the bubble. The concept being that this bubble filtered the air with 99.99% oxygen, thus allowing the products used to penetrate deeper into my skin and give me an even better glow.
Did it work? Yes, I left feeling relaxed, glowing and refreshed off to indulge in the canapés I was kindly offered (and a cappuccino - girl likes her caffeine fix). My skin was cleansed and gently exfoliated before a citrus soufflé mask was whipped up and applied. It smelled fruity and fresh, like I had an orange dessert on my face; so zesty and revitalising. Don't believe me? Just take a look at the photos below; the robe one is immediately after the treatment, then the second is later in the afternoon - still glowing, just with a little bit of eyebrow enhancement (thank you Anastasia Beverly Hills) and a pop of mascara, my skin completely naked otherwise. Whilst the bubble isn't there permanently, you can experience the facial I had - Citrus Essence (60 mins) for £75 or the 3D Collagen Shock facial is another popular one if you're concerned about aging skin. This intenstive anti-ageing treatment is available as 60 mins for £90 or 90 mins for £110.
With treatments available from £25, it's well worth checking out Wynyard Hall. Make sure you stop for a coffee in the library or the statue gallery as both are stunning locations to sip on a latte. Alternatively, enjoy tapas on the terrace with a glass of wine, who am I to judge?!
I feel like I have the spa treatment buzz again and now can't wait to go back!
Have you been to Wynyard Hall before for spa treatments? Or perhaps tried Natura Bissé at another location? I was offered a facial in exchange for review. All words and photos are my own. Thanks for the treat, Wynyard Hall!
