Minette Walters was my favourite crime writer years ago. Over time I've moved on to other writers. I haven't read any of her work in a long time. A Dreadful Murder: The Mysterious Death of Caroline Luard made me remember what I loved about her books. It looks like I have some reading to do. This is very compelling, even more so because it's based on an actual unsolved case. Walters does not attempt to solve the case of even offer an opinion but relates what happened and what conclusions were at the time. I could happily have read another couple of hundred pages.
