Inle Lake, Myanmar / September 2016. Just like any touristy place in the world, there are locals who pose to entertain tourists and there are those who do it because it has always been their "daily dance"all their lives.
Cruising on a rented boat on a chilly September morning in Myanmar's Inle Lake, I found this fisherman who was already trying his luck on the lake before the sun was up. I knew he was an authentic fisherman because he appeared to be in his regular fishing clothes (strangely, the tourist entertainers on the lake are all wearing exactly the same "traditional" fishermen's costumes) and he just went on with his fishing and didn't seem too eager to pose as my camera clicked away. And I did find some fish in his boat as I handed him a few bills for the photos. In fairness, he did seem to know what I wanted for my shots.
