Chicago Restaurant Week, the annual event held by Choose Chicago, returns in 2017 to mark the 10th anniversary of highlighting the city’s best culinary creations. From Friday, January 27 through Thursday, February 9, sample delicious dishes from over 350 participating restaurants, of which 66 are new to the event. With ongoing accolades and recognition from sources like TripAdvisor, Yelp, and prestigious La Liste, it’s clear that Chicago restaurants aren’t slowing down any time soon.
“This annual celebration not only attracts diners with the opportunity to enjoy a great deal on amazing food, but we have also seen it as an opportunity to have visitors use this incentive to explore and become acquainted with new culinary hot spots,” says David Whitaker, Choose Chicago President & CEO.
The event is also introducing a new brunch feature at select restaurants, along with lunch and dinner. Prices for prix fixe brunch and lunch menus are $22 and dinner is $33 or $44 depending on the location. Reservations for Chicago Restaurant Week opened at noon today.
New names appearing on the lineup this year include El Che Bar, Beacon Tavern, and Café Robey of the recently opened boutique hotel, The Robey, in Wicker Park. Some of our personal favorites here at UrbanMatter that are returning this year are Ada Street, The Allis, CH Distillery, El Hefe, Fig & Olive, Luxbar, Mercadito, Summer House Santa Monica, and Las Tablas Colombian Steakhouse.
