A Chic Harbourside Wedding by Jessica Photography

By Jax

When Jess married Phil at the Trinity Wharf in Tauranga she had a huge smile of her face the entire day, and while I have no doubt Jess is always a bubbly and happy person, there is no doubt in these beautiful images that Jess and now hubby Phil were made for each other. #lovestruck Those shoes... that dress... the floral ceremony arch... oh and that stamp! (I totally want one of those personalised couple stamps!), are just a few of the gorgeous details perfectly captured by Jessica Photography in this intimate and chic harbourside wedding. Enjoy xox

We met through friends playing touch rugby in 2008, the rest has been sun, surf, friends and travel!

In three words describe your wedding style... Hollywood, Natural, Chic

Aisle James Bay - Love lifting me higher
Signing Jesse J - We found love
First Dance Florence, You got love - which was sung by the incredible Leza Corban!

Save was Jess' Vera Wang Bridal Shoes which were a find along Hollywood Blvd, LA! She had to have them and didn't know the price - when she went to pay - the shop she was in had a 60% sale (yussss).......

Splurge Corina Snow Dress

The most difficult was the decision of where to get married! We both really wanted a venue by water.....there is just 'something about the water'. We also wanted to have a venue where we could have everything, ceremony / reception and which had accommodation!

We wanted friends and family to enjoy the long weekend and we knew the days, nights leading up and after would be full of laughter, drinks and hugs - and Trinity Wharf was perfect for this.

Most fun - Planning together and having all of our family and friends in the same place for the weekend.

DVD Wedding Invite - This was done by one of Jess' students who put a series of photos together with wedding info and music. (heads up if you do this, a lot of people don't have DVD players...!)

Personalised Stamp - We got a stamp made which had our Names and 23 April 2016 on it, this was stamped on all of the DVD's / envelopes / Menu's / Wooden Table Blocks, Anywhere we could really stamp! This simply personalised everything and tied it all in together

Name Tag's - We got a stamp kit and made individual name tags for guests invites - we also did personalised notes to them at the wedding. Spent a couple of evenings with Phil's parents stamping the night away which was all fun times leading up to the wedding.

Wooden Table Setting's - We went home to Jess' parents over Christmas and had a 'Wedding To Do List'.... on this was 'Wooden Table Settings'. Jess' good friend Amanda heard about the list and next minute, Amanda's Dad had 30 wooden slabs cut down from the farm and dropped at Jess' parents, we were overwhelmed by people doing whatever they could to help out and it made such a difference. Phil sanded, varnished and Jess stamped them!

Seating plan / Flowers on tables - Done by Jess' Aunty

We stuck to the thought that 'we didn't want to go into our marriage in debt from our wedding"........ so we saved consciously from when we were engaged and our parents were incredibly generous. We also were realistic / if we really wanted something; we got it but weighed up things that were not so important to us.

Thoughts are Mexico....
