A Busy Saturday

By Lwblog @londonwalks
DC Editor Adam writes…

A very busy Saturday began in Covent Garden with my fellow students on the Westminster Guiding Course 2018/19 - where we were practicing our presentation skills.
Each of us had to present one stop - allocated by the head of the course – and mine was a presentation on Harris's List of Covent Garden Ladies, the 18th century guide to prostitution in the West End.
(I'll present some of the findings that didn't make it into my presentation here on The DC at a later date.)
The new innovation on the course this week was filming. Each of us had to be filmed so that we could analyze our guiding style and it is a fascinating exercise.
My top three take away notes from the morning…
1. Hands
2. Hands
3. Hands
There are seven more in the top ten. Guess what? That's right.
Hands.
Here's a still from the morning's filming…

Come buy my (ahem) wares?
The evening was dedicated to London Horror Story – my walking tour of The City at night with ghosts, execution, fire, plague, murder and blitz. My commute to and from the tour takes me (believe it or not) through the local graveyard…

How's that for getting into character? And there's that bloody hand again!

Here's a trailer for London Horror Story…
