9th & Elm: Valentine’s Day Edition

By G J @myfavesjournal

Whether you’re single or taken this Valentine’s Day, nothing rings in this holiday better than looking hot, hot, hot. Beyoncé Knowles,’ “Single Ladies,” makes for the perfect Valentine’s Day tune. You could be making up, breaking up, or making out… it covers it all! Check it!

Single or not, this is the day to dress up, because there is not a more important relationship, then the one you have with yourself. I’ve got the perfect three looks for you, so if you’re hitting the town with girlfriends, or going out to a romantic dinner with your partner, one of these looks is great for you!

All the single ladies (All the single ladies)
All the single ladies (All the single ladies)

Now put your hands up

Up in the club, we just broke up,
I’m doing my own little thing

Beyoncé’s infamous song rings loudly, as the anthem for all those single ladies this Valentine’s Day, which is why I chose Black Single Ladies Jumpsuit. This black little number has a skinny leg and deep v-neck plunge to show off your ladies so you choose. Its silky-look is sultry and luscious and will be the sure attraction for all those single men out there. A large cocktail ring compliments this as well, layered with a 14K gold monogram ring, along with a chandelier earring, and a great stiletto. And to top it off, add some cuffs or bangles, or even a watch if you want to keep him on his toes. Nothing would be complete without my Costella Handbag in black with gold stud hardware. This cross-body will give you the convenience of being hands-free all night while at dinner, or lounging around or at the bar.

Cause if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it
If you liked it then you should’ve put a ring on it
Don’t be mad once you see that he want it

If you liked it then you should’ve put a ring on it

Magenta Dress1
Well if he put a ring on it, then I would recommend this ensemble. Sugarlips’ Magenta Me Dress is the perfect little twist on the traditional Valentine’s Day Dress. I’m in love with the two-tone colors here. I think the fuchsia and marsala (the color of the year) colors really complement one another and make this dress great for not only this holiday, but also this spring. The cut-out back adds a little sexiness to the dress, and is subtle, so it doesn’t look like you’re trying too hard. Love this with a little bootie or a wedge. Layer it with bangles or cuffs, a large cocktail ring, a large statement necklace, and you’ll be sure to be a show-stopper for not only your man, but the entire room.

Pull me into your arms
Say I’m the one you want
If you don’t, you’ll be alone

Red Dress
And lastly, but certainly, not least, I’m loving this last option, because it’s very Valentine’s Day meets boho-chic-look. The Off the Beat Dress is the perfect dress, single or not, for the more chill holiday. If you’re just going out for some cocktails with girlfriends, or going out for a four-course steak dinner, this is the very “hip/cool-look,” without looking like you care or you’re trying. The fire red color, with the sheer bottom to show off your long legs, would look great with an awesome statement necklace, because of its crew collar, and some leopard wedges, to add a little pattern and sassiness. To lighten it up, add the Costella Handbag here in white leather with gold stud accents. The long gold chain hung on your shoulder or across will be a sure firecracker way to hold all your items, such as your cell phone and lipstick, so you can take #selfies all night long!.

Now it’s up to you to decide what kind of girl you want to be Valentine’s Day. Don’t let him decide that for you. You have all the control. You tell me…you want to be the vixen, the lover or the single girl that night? Purchase soon so I’m no longer in the dark. I can’t wait to find out!
