2019 is indeed promising to be the most exciting year in terms of TV series and movie releases. Most of you are already fangirling over the “Avengers: Endgame” trailer and others over the 8th season of “Game of Thrones”.

The upcoming year is especially jam-packed with superhero movie releases (DC, Marvel, you name it!) With so many movies releasing left and right, it is going to be hard to keep track of them all. So here is a list of 9 upcoming super-hero movies that will make you wish for 2019 to hurry up:

Avengers: Endgame

This movie is indeed the talk of the town these days with the electrifying official trailer out on YouTube. Avengers: Endgame is a sequel of the blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War, and the final movie of the series. This movie will end the suspense of the prequel and has the entire population of Marvel fans anticipating and talking about “what next?”

Captain Marvel

“Captain Marvel” promises to be yet another gem of the Marvel Universe movies. This movie follows one of the mightiest female superheroes of the Marvel universe- Carol Danvers or Captain Marvel. A former U.S. fighter pilot, Carol goes on to become of one the mightiest heroes of the galaxy after joining an elite Kree military team called “Starforce”. However, when Earth is caught in the middle of an intergalactic war, Carol unravels many secrets about her identity and hidden superpowers.

Spiderman: Far From Home

After Peter Parker is done and dusted with “Avengers: Endgame”, he goes to Europe on a summer vacation with his friends. However, the vacation turns out to be yet another test of his superpowers when he finds himself face to face with Mysterio.

Hellboy

Based on Mike Mignola’s comic “Hellboy”, this movie is going to be a darker and more accurate version of the earlier two adaptations of the movie in 2004 and 2008. “Hellboy” is about a half-demon, the son of a human witch and a demon from hell, who is summoned to Earth by a Nazi officer through a satanic ritual. Finding himself stuck between the worlds of supernatural and human, Hellboy goes on to become a dedicated paranormal investigator.

Shazam!

This lighthearted superhero film is something out of the “Back To The Future” era and is based on a DC comic of the same name. Billy Batson, a normal 14-year-old foster-kid finds himself in the possession of brazen superpowers. After a subway car transports Billy into a different realm, he is blessed with superpowers by a wizard. Every time Billy says the word “Shazam”, he turns into an adult superhero. Together with his foster brother, Billy now has to save the world from the evil Dr. Sivanna using his newfound powers.

X-Men: Dark Pheonix

Now her fellow X-Men have to make a choice between their team member and the lives of the rest of the world.

The movie revolves around how a failed stand-up comedian turns to a life of crime after being shunned and disregarded by the society and turns into “Joker”, a villain feared by all.

New Mutants
