Vinegar and dish soap fly traps are a great way to eliminate houseflies naturally. Like the one above, this trap is very easy to set up and can be very useful in avoiding a lot of hassle. Here's how to set up a homemade fly trap with vinegar and dish soap.

Fill a small bowl with apple cider vinegar, and add a tablespoon of sugar. The vinegar should not be more than one inch high. Next, add dish soap to the bowl. This hack is best suited for fruit-scented dish soap. To attract houseflies, place the dish unattended in the middle, and the bowl can be covered with plastic wrap. To attract the flies, poke a few holes into it.

Natural Oils Repellent

Essential oil sprays are another way to eliminate houseflies naturally. Natural oils like lavender, lemongrass, peppermint, and eucalyptus can be used to get rid of houseflies. Mix them with water or rubbing alcohol and put them in a spray can. These natural repellents can deter houseflies and create beautiful scents in your home.

Salt and Turmeric

Basil can be planted in pots near your kitchen to repel flies.
