The away side went two up within the first fifteen minutes. A brilliant run and shot from 25 yard shot by Owen Kelly, was followed by a penetrating run through midfield which was fired home by Reuben Bainbridge.
Unicorn quickly replied with a shot from the left wing from Bailey Proudlock, finding the far corner via the leafy goalmouth, but the Mavericks regained the two goal advantage before half time through James Kelly.
Unicorn improved in the second half to gain a point. Both Goals were of a similar ilk with efforts parried by the 'keeper but falling to Stuart Murray and James Moohan, who both followed in from close range.
In the final fifteen minutes both sides went all out for a winner but neither could make the breakthrough, so the points were shared.
