When monsoon starts bidding goodbye and winter enters in India during the months of November, it is considered to be a great time to visit India.
As the summer heat and winter snow will not create any difficulty during this period, you can think about visiting a few places such as:
1. Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
During the last week of November, a well known festival of Indian classical music and dance takes place on the banks of river Ganges. Many celebrated artists like Kailash Kher and Pandit Birju Maharaj perform during this holy occasion. Pilgrims and general tourists also enjoy Dev Deepawali during this month when glittering lamps and grand worship takes place on the banks of Ganga.

2. Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
Summer makes Rajasthan a very unfavorable destination for spending your vacation. But during November, Rajasthan possesses a pleasant weather which can be good for enjoying your holidays.
- You can take a desert safari on cooler sands and visit the magnificent forts.
- Try out the Rajasthani meals and enjoy visiting excellent lakes like Gadisar Lake.
- Take a short drive to Pushkar and enjoy well known Pushkar fair.
- Spend one night at Khuri, which is situated in middle of desert, just 50 kms away from Jaisalmer.

3. Kerala

The best time to visit Kerala starts from November and ends in March. Kerala offers the greenest scenery during these months. The weather is perfect for boat rides in backwaters, tea plantation trips and festivals during November. People of South India participate in Sabarimala pilgrimage. They visit the famous Ayyappa temple through forests of Pathanamthitta district. During this time almost every temple in the village gets into a festive mood.
4. Goa
Tourist season of Goa begins in November. Due to all festivities, events start warming up after monsoons. You can also enjoy nightlife and parties, and if you can stretch your vacation a little longer, you can experience the December Goa Magic festival during Christmas and New Year’s Eve. But if you want to avoid crowds, November can be just ideal time for your visit to Goa.

5. Amritsar
The birth month of Guru Nanak is November and Amritsar being the place of Golden Temple, celebrates biggest event during this time. You can observe sparkling lights and a grand festive atmosphere throughout the city. It is considered as the epitome of celebration and devotion.

6. Bodh Gaya, Bihar
Among all Buddhist pilgrimage centers all around the world, Bodh Gaya in Bihar is believed to be the most sacred one. All trees of this particular town are believed to be descendants of Mahabodhi tree under which Lord Budhha achieved his enlightenment. If you visit Bodh Gaya during November, you will experience pleasant weather and a warm welcome for all pilgrims. At this time, monks from Dharamsala also celebrate many rituals here.

7. Sanasar, Jammu & Kashmir
You will find quiet hills and lively skies if you can visit Sanasar Lake and Dal Lake during November. Situated in the middle of Kashmir, Sanasar valley offers paragliding, trekking, rock climbing, golf playing and many more activities.
