Story: 8 Found Dead starts when Carrie (Trasher) and Ricky (Acosta) join friends Sam (Soper) and Dwayne (Grier) for a weekend getaway. Meanwhile, Officer Miller (Buckles) and Bobby (Rieger) are investigating the reports of an incident at the home.
However, once the friends arrive, they meet another couple Liz (Limeres) and Richard (Simek) who show a much creepier side. As the time together grows, strange events start to happen, and we are left to see who will survive the night.
Verdict on 8 Found Dead
8 Found Dead is a horror mystery following the events at an Airbnb. It follows a couple of timelines as we meet the characters who deal with different problems around the home. However, the question remains, who is behind everything going on?
This is a strange movie because of the different timelines, which are people heading to the same location. It ends up making everything feel scattergun approach. We jump around a lot and get a clear picture of what is going on early. This sucks out all the mystery around everything and leaves the story feeling flat by the end. There just isn’t enough time to focus on the characters.
Where to Watch: 8 Found Dead is on digital on 23 Oct from High Fliers
Final Thoughts –8 Found Dead brings the scattergun approach to a slasher movie.
