The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) inspected a house in Beruwala and seized seven kilogrammes of heroin yesterday. A suspect was also arrested by the Police.
According to the Police Narcotics Bureau, part of a stock of heroin that was smuggled into the country by sea was hidden in that house. The Police Narcotics Bureau stated that they have started investigations to find another stock of heroin based on the information revealed during questioning of the arrested suspect.
