Growing up, I always heard that the reason I had to eat carrots was to avoid glasses – did I ever see a rabbit wearing glasses? Well now that I’m grown up and a medical professional, I know the true nutrient profile of carrots, and how they help your eyes, and I also know that carrots aren’t all that rabbits eat!

However, that story still helps when I have to feed my kids carrots! Most kids don’t generally have a problem with carrots, owing to their bright color, their crunchy texture and natural sweetness. However, seeing carrots again and again in subzi, bhaji or sambar can get boring, and we don’t want that! So here are some healthy carrot recipes for babies and kids – and the whole family!

Important: Please remember that it’s recommended to avoid salt, sugar, honey and cow’s milk for babies under one. It is also advised to use natural substitutes for refined sugar, as well as to use whole grain and millet instead of refined flour.
