Jog Falls
Joga/Gerosoppa/Jog Falls is located in Sagara taluk Shivamogga district. It is one of the highest plunge waterfalls in India. It is also ranked 13th in the world by waterfall database and is a major tourist attraction. Joga means falls in Kannada language. It is associated with nearby Linganmakki Dam across river Sharavathi. Before the onset of monsoon season, when there is not much water in the Linganmakki dam, the Jog Falls are a pair of thin streams of water trickling down the cliff. As the water collected in the dam is exclusively for generation of electricity; during monsoons local rain water is the source of water to the falls.
Angel Falls
It is a waterfall in Venezuela. It is the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall, with a height of 979 meters and a plunge of 807 meters. This waterfall has been known as the Angel Falls since the mid 20th century. They are named after Jimmie Angel, a US aviator, who was the first person to fly over the falls. Gullfoss Waterfall
Gullfoss (Golden Waterfall) is an iconic waterfall of Iceland offering a spectacular view of the forces and beauty of untouched nature. It is part of the Golden Circle tour, located in South Iceland on the Hvita (White) river which is fed by Iceland´s second biggest glacier, the Langjokull. The water plummets down 32 meters in two stages into a rugged canyon which walls reach up to 70 meters in height. On a sunny day shimmering rainbow can be seen over the falls.
The Victoria Falls

It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800’s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. Kaieteur Falls
It is the world’s largest single drop waterfall by the volume of water flowing over it. It is 226 meters high and is about four times higher than Niagara Falls, on the border between Canada and US. And it is about twice the height of Victoria Falls, on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe in Africa. Located on the Potaro River in Kaieteur national park, it sits in a section of the Amazon rainforest included in the Potara-Siparuni region of Guyana. It serves as the major tourist attraction spot in Guyana.
