Your microwave can also help you avoid spending too much time peeling your garlic cloves. For that, place the garlic clove in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds. You may find that the skin will dry out and peel off more easily afterwards.

When you squeeze a citrus fruit to get its juice, you may not be able to extract it completely. However, it is possible to achieve this by simply heating the citrus fruit in the microwave for about 30 seconds. In this way, you can squeeze it to the last drop, when it comes out of the microwave.
