Wedding cakes are no longer a stock standard fruit cake with white icing (they are now works of art!), and 2016 has seen next level wedding cakes take centre stage at a couples big day. Still going strong this season and for very good reason. Such a versatile cake that is suitable for many different styles from natural and organic, through to vintage, add divine drips and edibles for a decadent feel, or glam it up by including touches of gold or silver.
It's no secret that I adore using fresh flowers on my cakes. To me, they are the perfect combination.
I just love the use of a little gold or silver leaf. Either covering a full tier, or just a few flecks to add that special touch!
There is something very soothing about creating beautiful marbled effects or water colour designs. And the beauty of these designs is that no two cakes are ever the same!
I can't get enough of these gorgeous shapes and coming up with unique ways to incorporate them into a cake.
Why have one cake when you can have three? Such fun creating gorgeous setups like this or stunning dessert tables with lots of gorgeous treats. Doughnuts, macarons, mini cakes = yum, yum yum!!
Combining different tier heights can create some serious visual pleasure with stunning impact that is sure to impress!
