Different countries, thousands of flights and endless road trips. This is the life of a travel writer and teaches you many right things. I would like to share some of my travel tips with you, as I have found them very useful in every trip I have undertaken.
Be annoyingIt's time to talk to different people. The waiter, the concierge, the bar staff or that customer sitting at the next table who are fine. Ask them questions about what to see and you will find that people will love sharing their advice and knowledge with you. Trust me, many people get nervous, but you start a conversation at random and you're only one step closer to the next hidden gem.
Get out of bedThis is the most difficult thing to deal with, especially for those who like to stay in bed a little longer than usual. It is better to get up early because it happens long before brunch. Then get out and go to a breakfast restaurant in Washington or reach the best beach in Italy before hordes of tourists arrive there. Trust me, you won't regret it; you can sleep as much as you want when you get home.
Keep your phone chargedThere is nothing worse than being out of technology because of a low battery. Keep a power bank with you so you never run out of battery.
Join the cloudThat iPhone isn't worth any value, and that's for one main reason: pictures. Memories are the best thing you do while traveling and without them, the charm of going on a trip will be lost. The days of using it to keep the manual backup are over. Apple now keeps you covered with iCloud, set up your cloud and access every photo and video from anywhere.
Remember your favoritesRemember that fantastic restaurant you were in the last time you visited New York four years ago? No? This is bad! Next time just ask your phone to remember it, on Google Maps just write the name of the place and then press "save". This method will help you mark it with a star so you can always go back and check it out.
Bring cashFrom Amsterdam to Cambodia, running out of money isn't a big deal. You won't find an ATM anywhere and you can't always use your debit / credit cards to pay for hotels, bars and restaurants. Bring with you an emergency cash of around $ 150 in USD or the local currency of the destination you are visiting.
